California 2010

We recently took a trip to Reno Nevada and San Jose California! We saw my Uncle Mike and Aunt Lorraine in Reno then went on to San Jose to see Jasmine's sister Tina and her family! It was a lot of fun. Eli did very well on the drive, we were both very proud of him! The drive there was very smooth, weather was decent, and roads were clear! Once we got to San Jose, we had a week to explore. We went to the beach, Childrens Discovery Museum, Happy Hollow Zoo, and Monterey Bay Aquariaum. Eli had a blast while we were there, he slept so good at nights because he was so tired from all the activites that we did during the day. When we werent out and about we were in the apartment where Eli could play with his Cousins, Imogene and Liz. They had so much fun together and it was nice to watch Eli play with family and be able to bond with them so well. Eli would give everyone cuddles and loves every night before bed!

On the way home was a completely different story than on the way there. The weather was horriable, raining, snowing, and windy, from San Jose to Reno (4 Hours) I think that we went through at least 3 snowstorms and who knows how many rain storms. There was even 1 snow storm that we went through that we HAD to get chains for our tires. It was ridicolous, I had to stand out in the snow and 20 degree weather for 2 hours, then waited another hour in the store before someone could put the chains on our tires. Once we left there, the sun came out and it stopped snowing and we only needed them for 15 miles. AND WE HAD TO PAY $90 for the STUPID chains. (So if anyone that reads this needs some chains let us know!!!)

The rest of the drive wasnt too bad, a few minor storms and rain but nothing major. But it was nice to be home finally. We all had fun, but its so nice once you get back to your home so you can relax. I will get pictures up as soon as I can!

Quick Update

Well, it really has been a long time since either of us has updated this blog..

So. Since January I have started my job at Koala Kids Academy and I love it. I can get really tiring but I love being able to work with all the kids :)

Tomorrow is the Monster Truck Show in Pocatello and we are going for my brothers birthday. We are so excited to go, we have gone almost every year together for the last 4yrs. It is going to be so much fun and cant wait :)

In a few weeks we will be going to California for a little while, we are going to see my sister, her husband and their 2 kids. This will be the first time that we have really met Mark and his daughter Liz. I'm excited because the last time they saw Eli was when he was 2mths old. So now he is old enough to play with the girls and they will love him :) Eli will love them too. He loves anyone that will play and give him attention (usually)

For easter we got a bike trailer and we have used it a few times, I am really glad that the weather is warming up so that we can spend more time outside as a family :)

Ummm, I dont really know what else there is to update. But I am going to change the email address so that we remember it :) hahahaha, we always forget either the password or email address..

New Year ('',)

Our new year was pretty chill (and I dont mean cold) we didnt really do much, Doug, Eli and I went to his grandparents house for dinner and we played a few games of cribbage :) that is a fun game.. After we got home we put Eli to bed and we went downstairs and played another game of cribbage until my mum and sister came over to count in the new year with us :)
It wasnt really anything but it was alot of fun..

Just before Christmas I applied for a bunch of job and one of them was including Koala Kids Academy (its the Malaleuca Daycare) and I got a call back hearing that I have been offered a job to work there :) it was funny because we were in the mall when they called me and I was so excited that I was actually jumping up and down while I was on the phone with them, I am sure that the people around me was wondering what kind of crazy person I was :) I even told Doug and he was like "Jasmine, nobody jumps around just because they are excited" but that is obviously not true because I was :-D

But I start on Tuesday the 5th, and I am also able to take Eli with me when I don't have anyone to watch him :)

Christmas

Christmas was really nice this year. We had decided a while ago that we weren't going to buy gifts for anyone except for Eli.. So we had made gifts for everyone in our families. My favorite gift that we (I) made was the ties made out of Duct Tape. It took a while because it would always stick to itself and I made a tie for Doug and my brother Chad. Now the only thing is we just have to wait and see if they will wear them..

We have a tradition where we have both of our families over for breakfast on christmas morning and Doug makes a casarole and hashbrowns, its is really yummy (as usual) and for dinner we went to my mum's house for dinner.

It was really fun having christmas with Eli this year because he could rip open his own presents even though in the beginning he didnt know why he was ripping paper but in the end he realized that he gets a toy or something if he rips the present open :)

It was good for me to be able to talk to some of my family on Christmas because we are literally all over the world :)

Eli's 1st Haircut

Eli just got his 1st haircut from Jasmine. She did a really good job.. Doug on the other hand..... gave Eli a few scratches on his neck... Oops... Eli was tough though and did not even care. Here are a few pictures of the haircut.

Painting

In our house all of the walls were white, we decided that we wanted to do something different and paint our house. Doug was really nervous about it so we started in the kitchen first and did behind the fridge so if we didnt like it we could just cover it up. It turned out really nice now that we have finished up stairs, we did the kitchen, dining room, living room, the hallway and the stairway.

I'll have to get Doug to add some pictures because it isn't working for me right now.

Finally...

I have been trying to get a In-Home Daycare License since September.. And I can actually say that I now have my Daycare License :) I went and got it from the City of Ammon today and now I am trying to get ICCP Certified. I will get a vender# in about a week :) I am really excited about it.. I can have up to 5 kids in my care and people say I am crazy for doing this :)

Happy Birthday Eli!

Happy Birthday Eli!!!

As most of you know, Eli turned 1 on the 15th. He is growing like crazy and learning more and more each day. Jas and I are both amazed at how fast he learns things! One of the 1st things he got for his birthday was..... an EAR INFECTION!!! Exactly what every kid wants, right! But he is definatley loved by all of his family and FRIENDS! He got several fun toys, toys to help him learn more, and clothes for the winter, which is approaching way to fast!

When we took Eli to the doctor they told us that he weighs 25.8 and he is 31in tall. 86% for his height and weight. He has brought so much to Jas and I. He is so fun to be around, always laughing and playing. He likes to be the center of attention (as he usually always is anyways) but he gets really shy for pictures and videos. Comming soon, we will have some pictures of his favorite things to do. Its too cute to just say with words! Thanks to all for your love and support.

Wow it has been a long time since we have made an update.. So here is a quick update with what I am doing.. I am in the process of getting ICCP Certified and still selling Mary Kay a little when someone needs any Mary Kay products..

Um, Eli is getting really big, I can't believe that he will be 1 next month.. It only seems like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital.. And now people will stop me and say 'that little boy is half the size of you' well its not hard to be half the size of me because I'm not that tall anyway :^)

Colorado Vacation 7/09

We love Colorado! It has been so much fun. The trip was about 9ish hours from home. Eli did great on the car ride here. He slept most of the way and played the rest of the time. Except the last few hours, he was done with the car, but who can blame him right! We got here on Thursday July 2nd, did some shopping and just rested after the long trip. (We left at 3 in the morning!!!) We went to a dinner with Kayla and her family, it was kind of a rehersal dinner but they didnt reherse anything so........! The next day we did some more shopping and they attended the actual wedding. It was beautiful. Kayla and Greg are very happy and make a great couple! Afterwords Jasmine was able to catch up with some old friends at the reception. Eli played with a 3 month old. He made a new friend! Then today (4th of July) we went to the Denver Zoo!!! It was a lot of fun.

The Zoo was a fun. We got there early enough that there wasnt too many people and left before it got too hot. Then we went back to the hotel and took Eli for his first swim!!!!

He didnt fuss at all. Jasmine put him under water a few times and he did just fine. I was very nervous about it and couldnt watch the first time she did it! We are getting ready to head home tomorrow (July 5th.) But definalty not by choice. We love it here and its possible that someday we will move here, just have to take care of things in Idaho first...

Eli can Crawl! Check it out!

Hey Everyone! Its official. Eli can now crawl..... He was making several attempts over the last few weeks and on Thursday he finally did it! We were so excited. I tried to get a video up here sooner to show everyone, but we were having issuses with Cableone and did not have internet. But its all fixed now. Eli is growing so fast. He is getting teeth like no other, last time we looked he had 4 on the bottom and 2 on the top but those other 2 are trying to come through on the top. BUT, it also looks like more are going to be though on the top in the near future. Check out the video of Eli. He also does this "clap hands" trick that you will see at the end!

Jasmine is still selling Mary Kay. She did her 1st order the other day for about $300. So thanks to everyone that is supporting her and if anyone wants to buy anything let her know. She has a website but I am not sure what it is... So if you want to know any information about it just email us fergusonfamily3@cableone.net or you can call us. But we have new cell phone numbers so email us if you dont have that number. Jasmine is going to have a Mary Kay party on July 10th @ 6pm. So please let her know if you want to attend so she can make sure that she has room for everybody!

We are getting ready to go to Colorado this 4th of July weekend. Jasmine has a good friend that is getting married on the 3rd. It will be about an 8 hour drive from Idaho Falls, should be interesting as this will be Eli's 1st Vacation! The farthest we have ever taken him is to SLC which is only about 3 hours, so this will definatly be an adventure. He does enjoy the car rides though, so I am hoping that he will do good! Any tips let us know!!!!

Quick Update

Eli has just turned 8months old and he has 8 teeth, 4 on the top and on the bottom. We think that he has another one coming through be we dont really know for sure yet, I guess we will find out within the next few weeks..
He has just started to try and crawl forward so hopefully by the time he is 9 months old he will be able to crawl. He also knows how to sit up on his own as well so we had to move his bed down so that it would be lower so that way if he sits up and tries to stand up he will be fine..

Jasmine has signed up to sell Mary Kay so if there is anyone that would like to buy it they can buy it off her. You can look at the catalog online to see what you want and you can give her a call and she will send it to you. She has to find 24 people to buy $24 because she is just starting right now.

Sorry its been so long...

Sorry it has taken us so long to post updates for you. Here is a little slide of Eli from the last few days. He is trying to start crawling and he still loves bath time so I added a few pics from bath time!

Eli has grown so much. He has 3 teeth on the bottom and 3 more coming through. 1 on the bottom and he is getting his 2 front teeth (thought you were supposed to wait for x-mas before you got those...... ;-) He has started trying to crawl over the last few weeks so I dont think that it will take long before he does it! He is pretty determined when he is down on the floor! He recently got over a nasty infection. It is called Hand, Mouth and Foot. It is something that they can get pretty easy by coming in contact with saliva from others carrying the same thing. They develop cold sores in their throat and a fever, so it makes it hard for them to eat. On top of that there is nothing the doctors can give them because it is a bacterial infection. It took him a few days and he got over it! We learned the lesson to make sure that his toys are clean and to make sure when we go out to places that he does not put his mouth on things such as shopping carts, church benches, phones, etc. But he is a trooper and is doing great now! He is sleeping pretty good through the night when he isnt teething!!

Jasmine and I are doing good. Jasmine has started to babysit during the week and still works at Chuck a Rama on the weekends. So she keeps busy. She is babysitting a 3 year old so it is giving both of us alot of future notice on what to expect! He is good though! I am still working hard at Wells. (If anyone from work reads this, they can vouch for me RIGHT!!!!!)

Summer is here and we are going camping next week. This will be Eli's 2nd time technically. The first time he did not make it through the night there and I had to go pick them up, so we will try it again and see how it works. I will post pictures when we get back!

New Bath and Car Seat!

Well... Thanks to Grandma Pam, Eli has a new Bath!!!!!

He loves it. Now he can sit up like a big boy in the bath but when he splashes he gets water in his face and he is not so sure about that!!! But he is definatley enjoying the tub! Now we just need to get him some little toys that we can put in there with him. We also decided to get him a new car seat.......We took him for a little ride and he was not quite sure about it! He was screaming alot, but I think that was really because he was just being a cranky butt!!! When we got home, we put him in bed!!!!

Jasmine has applied to work at a daycare here in town. She is really hoping to get the job. She would be able to take Eli there with no cost and have weekends off! So keep your fingers crossed for her! Everything is the same for me at work, just working hard and getting paid! Something I am very grateful at this time when jobs are tough to get. I am grateful that I work for a great company that values their employees!

We are still trying to teach Eli to crawl. It is not going as fast as we would like but he is getting there. He finally got up on his knees yesterday (Saturday). He scoots backwards really good!!! But not-so-much going forward... Like everyone tells me, I need to have patience!!

We bought Eli a new "Big Boy Chair" ha ha for the table. We just put him in it for the 1st time and I had to take a picture and show everyone.

Update!

Well it has been a long time since we blogged last. Sorry, we are bad at remembering passwords. We are constantly changing this blog password because we always forget. But enough about how "dumb" we are!!! Eli just had his 6 month birthday!

He is growing so fast and getting big! He weighs 18.10 pounds and he is 27 1/2 inches long. He is sitting up by himself really good now and we are trying to teach him to crawl! Not going so well, but someday! He still has just two teeth.

This is Eli's new favorite toy! It is a 2-1 Shopping Cart Cover as well as a Tummy Time Mat. Thanks to Grandma Pam! He loves playing with all the little toys that came with it and now when we go to the grocery store he loves sitting up like a "Big Boy" and checking out the world. Eli really enjoys going out into the world! He is definatley like his dad and is a people watcher!

Teeth

On Sunday March 1st, Eli's first tooth started to come through and then on the 3rd his 2nd tooth started to come through. He now has his bottom 2 teeth coming through. He has been a grumpy little boy but it is understandable..
He is growing up really fast but it is alot of fun to see him learn new things and figure out how to do certain things.

Well i think that last blog i said that I was going to get pictures up here more often... Ha Ha hasnt happened yet! We have been having some computer problems lately. We had a nasty virus on the computer and we are still trying to get rid of it. But we will get some pics up! :-) Eli had his 4 month check up the other day. I cant believe how fast time goes by and how big he is getting. He is in the 90th percential for his height and weight! He weighs 17 pounds and he is 26 1/2 inches. Today I was watching him in the walker thing that my mom bought a few years ago for my nephew and he was just lovin it! He was playing with the toys on there and grabbing things. I was just watching him and it was making me smile. He is growing into a little boy! He looks up and smiles and he even laughes more! He used to just laugh for Jasmine but he is starting to laugh for me more often! I love it! He has been sick lately but he is getting better! Jasmine and Eli were passing it back and fourth between eachother! I am just glad that I never got it!
