Big Boy

Just have to note, that on the 16th was Eli's 2 month appointment and he weighed at 14lbs 4.5oz, and 23 3/4inches long.. He is really growing alot and is alot of fun to play with..

Christmas Eve he also slept through the night for the first time, he slept from 12-8am and then was awake for an hour then fell back asleep again until he was ready to have lunch..

Disneyland

As you know, we went to California for a week and while we were there we went to Disneyland. It wasn't what we expected it to be but it was still good, we got to get photo's with a few of the characters.. Mickey, Minnie and Goofy. Goofy was really funny.
By Wednesday we were ready to come home, even Eli.
I will have to get Doug to put pictures up because right now Eli is crying and tired so I have to go put him to bed.

2 Weeks & Many 1st's

2 Weeks from today we will be going to Sunny California. Jasmine and I are very excited but we are not ready at all for this trip. We really dont even know where to start to be honest! It will be a lot of fun though, this will be the 1st time that I get to meet the rest of the "Aussie's" and it will be the 1st time that Eli goes on a plane. This will be the 1st time that we travel as a FAMILY and it will be the 1st time that Jasmine gets to go to Disneyland. I went once when I was younger but I dont remember much. Jasmine and I are both excited to see her family, it has been 3ish years since Jasmine has seen them. We cant wait. We are going to take lots of pictures and hopefully soon after we get back we will post them. If anyone has any pointers on traveling with a little one, let us know. We will listen to all the advice that we are given!!

Long Time no Blog!!!

Hey everyone. It has been a long time since we have wrote anything on here. Sorry.. Things have been busy and I (Doug) forgot the password to the blog... Oops!! But all is good now. Things here are going good. Eli had his 1st ear infection..... It was pretty rough on him until we got some medicine to help that situation. Its hard to know when a baby is sick espically if they are not running a feaver or anything. But all is good now, he just finished his medicine and he is doing a lot better. He is growing like no other!!! Ha Ha. Last night was his 1st ACTUAL BATH... He loved it!!!

Its funny that it took us so long to give him an actual bath. As most of you know you have to wait a few weeks after they are born because of the "cord" then he got "cut" so you have to wait 2 more weeks. Well then, we got lazy and procrastinated and there I was yesterday finally giving him a well deserved bath... (Luckily no smell!!! ;-) ) I was very nervous, i didnt think that he was going to go for it. So after I got the water ready I had my mom test it (with her finger!) and then I put him in.. All of a sudded, no tears but the water hit him and he started PEEING all over the place..(Which he does quite often if you are not quick enough!!) But then he just relaxed and enjoyed. As you can tell from the pictures! So I think that bath time will definatly happen more frequent ;-)

This morning we took him to church. The first time that he has been the whole 3 hours. He did pretty good. He stayed asleep through most of sacrament (Lucky guy!!!) then he woke up and was hungry so Jasmine went out and fed him. After sacrament Jasmine and I had to teach our primary class, normally I take him into my class first and then she takes him when she teaches her class but today the Primary President wanted to hold him so we let her! (Never turn down a person that wants to watch the little guy for a while right!) So then my class was over and I went to go get Eli and I saw that someone different was holding Eli. Sister Barnes was so nice to hold him for about 1 1/2 hours. We are very grateful to have friends in the ward like that. She didnt mind holding him at all and she got him to go to sleep (Way to go. that can be a big stuggle sometimes!) We have a great Ward Family. I dont think that we are going to trade them anytime soon! Well, this blog is long enough. You are probably wishing that we would blog more often so you didnt have to read NOVELS when we do write.. Ha Ha. ANyways, Love to you all. We are greatful for each and every single one of you. You have touched our lives and helped us in one way or another. We are not very good at Thank You cards so,, THANK YOU for everything. We definaly do appreciate it.

Pictures of Little Eli

Alright Everyone.. Here is the newest edition to the Ferguson Family. Eli Douglas Ferguson. He is way more that we could have ever asked for. He is so good, quiet and fun. You never would have thought that you could have so much love for someone that is so new in your life and also, someone who is so tiny. He makes us laugh and cry at the same time. He is awesome and we are so thankful already to have him in our lives. The lord really has blessed us this time. Eli already has such a fun personality, we cant wait to see how much HE teaches US!!! Ha Ha. I will update more as time goes on. Just so you all know, Jasmine and I are at home now. We came home on Friday afternoon. Eli loves it here at home. Skittles (our dog) has been great also. She is very protective and runs to see what is happening everytime he cries. She will be a great protector for him. Love you all. Thanks again for all the support and love that you give us. We would not be able to do it without you..

Eli Douglas Ferguson

Baby Eli has joined us!! He was 8lbs 7 oz and 20 3/4long. He is very health and happy (for the most part) Jasmine is doing very well, sore, but that was to be expected! We will be in the hospital until Friday afternoon/evening. Once we are home I will post some pictures of him. Just wanted to let everyone know! Thanks for your support and love!

October 15, 2008.. Today is the day ;-)

Well the day is finally here. Jasmine and I are going to have the baby today. Her doctor said that she will induce today so we are headed to the hospital soon. We will be there at 7am and there for a few days. Jasmine and the baby have to stay a few days after just to make sure that everything is ok. We are going to deliver at Mountain View Hospital. As soon as I have some pictures I will post them up here. Also, if for some reason you dont have Jasmine's or I's phone number then....

Update

Sorry for the dealy in blogs.. If anyone is out there reading! Just an update for you all though. Jasmine and I are going to the doctor tomorrow for the 39 week visit! Woot Woot, its getting closer. They said that on this visit they are going to check Jasmine and see if its going to be ok to INDUCE labor on Wednesday.. We are very excited and in a way hope that they will induce her, we are ready for ELI to come and join us. Jasmine is very ready!! We are prepared as much as we know to be.. Its hard to know what exactly you need and what exactly the baby needs until he is here.. Well I guess until tomorrow I am going to end this blog. We will keep this updated espically now that its getting down to the day.. Hopefully next time there will be some pictures up here of our newest edition!! Wish us luck!

Belly Pics

Yesterday I got my sister to take some belly pics of me just because I am getting bigger and bigger each week, the baby is growing really fast now.

We decided to take a few different pictures, like this one is just of me sitting down, you cant really tell how big my belly looks from front on but then I turn to the side like this one, and you can see that I can balance a can of soft drink on my belly... I am not big enough to balance a plate on my belly because it just slides off but I can do this...I am just too clever...

And this one is just of me standing up and what it looks like...man I am huge...but I just have to remember that it is just baby and not me...

NOTHING FITS!

Ok, so because I am getting bigger all the time nothing fits me anymore, well it fits but it is all tight. So the other day Doug and I went to the mall to find him a pair of jeans and me a dress that I would be able to wear to church for a few more weeks before I grow out of it... We went into Dillards where we found a few dresses for me to try on, I tried on this white one that had purple flowers at the bottom of it, it was cute...but when I put it on it looked soo bad, as soon as I looked in the mirror I thought that I looked like a blimp (SICK) so I didn't even show Doug what that one looked like.

Then I put on the 2nd dress that we had picked out and it looked better than the first one but I still looked HUGE, and when I walked out to show Doug I knew that he was thinking the same thing just by the look on his face, he had the biggest smile and when I said to him that I look like a blimp all he did was smile and nod a little but (that was ok with me because I was the one that said it and if he had so no then I would have known that he was lying to me)

I told Doug that after I have this baby we are soo going shopping so that I can buy me some new clothes, at least new pants or something..

Exciting...well I think it is...

Ok, yesterday I looked online to see when we were going to get the stroller set because it was being shipped to us...it said in the shipping details that we would get it that day...

We got it yesterday and I asked Doug to wait to put it up after I got home from work because I was really excited to get it (it is really nice) So last night we put it up together and I thought that it was exciting because it is kind of becoming more real because we have stuff for him, and just picturing this little baby in the car seat and everything makes me excited...now he just has to be here...

Last night at Work...

Well, last night I was at work (as usual) and after we had closed but I was waiting to count the til so that I could go home, one of the girls that I work with "needed my help" with something in one of the back rooms...WELL...that was a total lie because when I went back there to help her, there was a bunch of employees in the room standing around this huge gift 'basket' that they were going to give me... It was soo nice I almost started crying (but I didn't) I was so excited to get something because we don't really have anything, we are only just starting to get stuff now...
Jared (the manager) helped me carry it out to the car because if you can imagine a pregnant woman carrying a baby bath full of stuff, it is kinda funny...but I carried it from the car into the house and boy was that hard for me to do...
Anyway, it isn't long until the baby is here and I am excited to find out what he looks like and to be able to see what has been kicking me all this time...

1 of the Strange things that I do and dont know why!!!!!

Hey its Doug! (Again)

So, for all you that know me, I do a lot of strange things. But this one today for some reason really made me laugh! Sometimes when I am getting ready for the day I put on a shirt that I havent worn in a long time. Well I put one on Today and I decided that I didnt like it anymore, it was too short. So, I went into the closet, took the shirt off and then I threw it on top of the closet shelves... !! I dont know why I do that, but I do it alot. I will just take clothes that I dont like any more and just toss them up onto the top shelf! Its a crazy thing. There is actually alot of clothes up there. I have a very hard time getting rid of any type of clothes, because I dont know if I will ever want to wear them again or attempt to wear them again!! Lol. Its crazy. Im sure that all of you will be glad when we have the baby because then you wont have to read all my crazy blogs.. It will be something that you will enjoy reading about (hopefully!). Laundry!!!!

Its Doug!
So the other night I got home from work and I noticed that there was a purple towel on the floor. Normally it would not have caught my attention except for the fact that I saw that same towel on the floor of the laundry room, which means that it was dirty. So I asked Jasmine if she washed the towels, becuase I was hoping that she didnt just go grab the towel since it was dirty. Jasmine replies, Ya, I washed "THE" towel. No big deal I thought, so I said, well did you get the other towels that were in the dryer out of the dryer.. Jasmine says,,, Umm I put the purple towel in with the other towels that were already dry and turned the dryer back on! WHAT? Did you get the other towels out of the dryer? NO, I just got my purple towel out, the others are still in the dryer.....

I couldnt believe it. .It was pretty funny though. The towels are out now. It was really funny though that she wanted that purple towel so bad that she would do all the stuff she did. Jasmine is crazy, but I LOVE HER!!!!! I told her that I was going to blog about it today and she said NO... So hopefully she is laughing when she reads this!! Love YOU HEAP HEAP!

Don't know what to put for the title...

Ok, so the reason that I have not been putting any blogs up is because I tried to get on here BUT I only knew half of the password and last night Doug told me what it was so that I could get on and post a blog... I don't really know what to blog about because there is nothing interesting going on with me except that the past week I have been sick... And today, I have been really emotional about everything and I think that it is because I have been sick and I am pregnant, I don't like being like this because I can't stop crying over the stupidest things BUT I am home by myself so nobody sees me like this... I only have 10 weeks to go until Doug and I will have a baby and not just in my belly...

Well that is my story for today, sorry it isn't interesting like the other posts but that is what you get from me today..

Strawberry Milk????

Hey Everyone. Its Doug Again... Jasmine doesnt seem to post too many blogs so you are stuck listening to me.. If there is anyone out there besides the ones that I MAKE read my blogs at WORK....!!! Ok, So I have this really bad habit of leaving drinks, cups, etc laying around the house, bedroom, basement, really anywhere that I am at! So recently I have been on this kick of Strawberry Milk, when we go to Smith's to buy groceries they are 5 for $5. So you have to buy 5 right!!!! Ha HA.. So, before I go to bed I have been drinking strawberry milk.. Probably not the best thing for you but... oh well! So the other night, Thursday, I had some milk but I didnt finish it. I just left it there for a day-ish! Well on Friday night I went to go throw it away before it got all moldy, nasty, etc.. Well, to my suprise, I went to go grab it and when I did...... I NOTICED THAT IT WAS WHITE..... Umm, I dont know how what was 1 day pink STRAWBERRY MILK, could on day 2 turn completely WHITE. It is the craziest thing that I have ever seen.. It makes me wonder what it does to your body. So as you can tell, I took some pictures because I have no clue if anyone has ever had this happen to them, because unlike me, most people dont leave their drinks laying around the house.... So, I hurried and got the camera so that I could take pictures and BLOG about it..... Yes, I know that its now Monday and I am just now blogging about what happened to me on FRIDAY, but, I had camera problems and I have been arguing with the computer for a few days. It kept telling me that the camera was not connected when CLEARLY I could see that it was.... Technology.... Anyways, thats my blog for the day. DONT TRUST STRAWBERRY MILK........ ;-)

SUN VALLEY IDAHO... HERE WE COME... (Next Month Ha Ha)

Hello Friends and Family, its Doug!

A few months ago, right after I was promoted to Sevice Manager at work, all the team members that I work with nominated me for employee of the month, which in return, my Store Manager nominated me as a STAR MANAGER. It was awesome. I am very grateful. So, come to find out, when you get nominated as Star Manager they put you into a drawing to win a trip. Well I WON!!! As well as several others from the Idaho area, but still I WON..... So THANKS TO THE AMAZING PEOPLE that I work with, Jasmine and I are able to take a short weekend vacation to Sun Valley, Idaho in September. Which is about 1 month away from when the "baby" is going to be here... It will be a nice, well deserved, short, vacation for the both of us. It is very fun. Wells is of course going to pay for everything as well as give us each $75 to spend at the resort and then I also get a $100 gift certificate to spend where-ever I want.. WOOT WOOT. I was very excited and am very blessed to be able to get this vacation... That picture up there in the corner is a SNOWY picture of Sun Valley. Sorry, its the only one that I could find that showed part of the resort. I have never been to Sun Valley and neither has Jasmine. So it should be lots of fun!!! Anyways, I just thought that I would share that with everyone!! Love you all!!!

News/Updates

Hello Everyone!!!
I have been told by some people (person) that I dont have enough on our blog yet so they (her) wont add us to their blog until we do, so this is for them (Kaitlyn!!!) Ha Ha. Anyways, she probably knows all this already anyways.
This week has been a WEEK, thats for sure. I went to the doctor on Monday, wasnt feeling so good, they took my blood because they didnt know what was wrong with me. I also had very high blood pressure ( 162/108) Finally the results came back (Friday) but they still dont know whats wrong. My blood pressure has came down a little bit (146/86) So they are going to continue to monitor me until either something changes or..... I dont know? Jasmine has been sick the last 2 days but she is starting to feel better, she was throwing up, sore throat and such. I think that there was a "sick bug" that was going around for a few days...But life goes on. I am glad that the weekend is here, I needed a few days off work. I love my job though. Its challenging but fun. Well.. I think thats all for this blog. (Ha Ha, actually I am ending this one so that I can blog about something else... But the way that the blogs go, you will read this one after I have already posted the one that I am talking about writing now.... Does that make sense? It does to me anyways... Ha Ha.. You will understand it if you understand me.... Thats scary though if you can understand what I am talking about... Look, now I am just rambling on about nothing, but you continue to read... So i guess your still interested.. Ha Ha.. Ok I'm done now!!!)

Kellie Pickler Concert

Hello all, Its Doug!!!

On July 29th, we went and saw Kellie Pickler in concert. It was awesome. Moulton Jess opened for her, I dont know who they are, so that part was boring. But then we got to see Kellie, she is so down to earth and just a cool person. She sang a lot of new songs that she will be releasing on her new album in September (I think) She performed at the Civic Aud. (For all you Idahoans you know that its a small place) we got to sit in the front row! Which was very cool. They had a spot that you could sit right in front of the stage, which we almost did, but it would have been way too loud for us. But still, we were not very far from her at all. Kellie has an amazing voice. Its so hard to believe that she can be so powerful when she sings, because she is so tiny and also has kind of a squeaky voice when she talks ;-) But anyways, she was awesome and Jasmine, the baby, and I had an awesome time. Jasmine said that everytime she would sing high notes or sing really loud that "the baby" would kick.. (Its very hard not to use his name when I am talking about him!!!!)

1st Blog

Hello Everyone!! This is our first blog that we are writing as a family! Jasmine and I are doing really good. Jasmine is about 27 weeks pregnant now and she says that she can not wait to get it over with!!! Only about 13 weeks left. I keep telling her that she is going to have the baby early October... She doesnt like that too much. For all of you that dont know, we are having a boy. We have a name picked out, but due to other issues, we cant tell you what the name is yet unless we have already told you, but then you wouldnt need to know now, right!!! Umm, we still dont have anything for the babys room, but we are going to start working on that. It has kind of snuck up on us really fast!

Jasmine is working at Chuck a Rama still, she will be there at least until beginning of 2009. Its too hard to try and find a job now, being pregnant and all. But after we have the baby and things calm down, she will find something different!! ;-)

Doug is still working at Wells Fargo as a Service Manager.. Its a fun job, but it can be very stressfull at times. Just imagine yourself working with 5 drama to the max females.....! But Doug has this week off and he is very excited!

Well, I think that will be all for our 1st Blog. We will be getting pictures up soon and keeping all of you informed of whats happening in our lives!!!
